2025 The 39th Joint Annual Conference of Biomedical Science

The Joint Annual Conference of Biomedical Science (JACBS) is a long-established, large-scale, and highly influential academic symposium in Taiwan. It is jointly organized by nine major basic medical societies in Taiwan: the Immunological Society, Pharmacological Society, Anatomical Society, Molecular Bioimaging Society, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Society, Cell and Molecular Biology Society, Clinical Biochemistry Society, Toxicology Society, and Physiology Society. Previous conferences have attracted over 2,300 scholars and researchers.

This year’s 39th conference, themed “Advancing Therapies in Cancer and Diseases,” aims to help members grasp the latest technologies and research findings in the field. We are honored to have Dr. Bing-Zhi He from the University of Lausanne and the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research as the keynote speaker. Dr. He focuses on the role of metabolic regulation in immune responses in cancer and autoimmune diseases, striving to develop innovative therapies that restore immune function through metabolism reprogramming. His numerous research achievements have been published in top journals such as Cell, Nature Immunology, Nature Medicine, and Immunity, and he has received multiple patents and awards, making profound contributions and inspirations to cancer and immune disease treatment.

Here, we congratulate Venus for winning Third Place in the Thematic Competition Award at the 39th Joint Annual Conference of Biomedical Science.
